Knock, knock!
June has finally come to arrive, and I have decided that - with the end of the year and thinking about things for next year - I'd "knock" on the door of my blog address and open the door to blogging with a more committed attitude.
To kick off the June celebration, I'm linking up with Farley at Oh' Boy 4th Grade for June Currently!
listening: I love listening to my sisters play the piano. I do not play as frequently as my sisters do since they take lessons, but I do miss playing as skillfully as they do. God has truly gifted us, and it is a blessing to give it back to Him in church.
loving: JUNE HAS COME! I have been mentally checked out of this school year since the beginning of May. While I love, LOVE, LOVE my class this year (
thinking: So I think I'm getting moved to middle school next year. #thestruggleisreal ...while I student taught 5th grade, I don't know how ready I am to change my mentality from teaching 3rd graders to 6th/7th graders. I have gone back and forth with what I want to do for next year school year - teach 3rd grade all subjects and have that "control" over my day and lessons, or teach middle schoolers, have debates, read advanced novels,
wanting: So of course my mom shows me this Oriental Trading catalog featuring "Faith & Fun" = perfect ideas for Sunday School and Jr. Church decorations/prizes! Then my sisters and I start creating a whole plan for doing VBS at our church this summer - theme, songs, activities, and all! Hopefully we get permission to do it!
needing: Okay, seriously?! I called last week to confirm I had everything for my application. The wonderfully patient admissions representative told me my application was good to go and that the committee was reviewing my application so I should hear back soon. How much longer do I have to wait?! :(
summer lovin': I am so excited and beyond thrilled for one of my best friends .. after much ado, she is finally getting married and has asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding. I feel so honored, and it has been so exciting planning the various activities with the other bridesmaids. I'm also looking forward to redoing and reorganizing my bedroom that I share with my youngest sister. All while finding time to read and tutor students on the side. ;)
Okay, go link up with Farley and other teachers! And wish me luck as I #seriously commit to blogging more frequently. :)

Wow! I can't imagine switching from 3rd grade to middle school! Good luck! BTW, I LOVE the oriental trading catalog. I just started making sensory bins for my daughter and I bet I could find all sort of things in there for her!! Must. Stay. away. ;)
Moving up! I'm sure middle school will be exciting, too! (Minus the attitudes, haha!)
Enjoy the last two weeks!

I can't even imagine going from 3rd grade to middle school!!!! WOW! I am sorry you still have two weeks. I use to live in Maryland and we would go to school WAY into June. We have been out for about a week and half. I hope you get to do your VBS. I am so excited about ours! We are doing an archeologist theme with stories about Moses. I am going to try to turn my classroom into Egypt! We shall see! Hang in there and here's to staying in third!
I received my Master's in Education with a Reading Emphasis, along with my Reading Specialist Credential. This training will serve you well! Have a fabulous summer! Carol's Teaching Garden
